Hi
Welcome to Joey's website!
Enlightenment and Revolutions
Why do revolutions start?
Revolutions started because people wanted to protest about the way the society was structured. Also, people were not happy with the government, the king, and the country. These people became a group known as rebellion, they caused wars and execution. They may be happy or not, depending no how much people they had. As a result of the war, many people got killed.
How does what we learned connect to the real world?
What we learned connect to the real world because revolutions made the present world. For example, the way the country gain independent, new laws, or taxes. Also, we can have a better understand of the world of how people protest against the monarch or government to get what they wanted. Additionally, we can see how the countries formed when those revolutions occurred. For example, Mexico was freed from Spain and the British colony became the United States.
Choose one piece of work that you completed this unit. What did you learn from this piece of work? Was it interesting? Was it challenging? Did it teach you a new skill? Did it reinforce skills you already have?
One of piece of work I did in this unit is the revolutions essay. This work I did is really interesting because I learned a lot from researching and reading from the book. Without this work, it would be hard to get the big picture of how those revolutions occurred because it is just not about the Enlightenment. It is also really important to write an essay in history because it makes me understand the topic more, rather than just study and read the book. However, I think it is a bit challenging in researching and organizing because those information had to match your thesis statement. But I think I did well in my essay put a lot of effort in this piece of work.
