The Reformation and Islam Reflection
1.) How and why do religions change?
Ans: The religion change because people’s idea change, based on what they believe and think. They want to create their own religion because they believe in different thing and they will gain followers later on. The prophet also spread the god message and that’s why the religion were created. For example, Islam splits into shias and sunni because of the Prophet Muhammad. Also, because of the disagreement of the church leader. Maybe they rule their religion with a disagreeing rules and people don’t like it. While on the other hand, this group of society created their own religion and they spread the news. Monarch is other the reason. Money is the most important reason for this. Money affect christianity because of taxes and indulgences. Martin Luther is the person that went against in this because he thought that it is corrupted. Martin Luther seeing people using money for himself and maybe corrupt because it is too advantage for himself. It’s only about following the god.
2) How does what you learned connect to the real world?
Ans: Knowing about religion is really important for us because we can learn a lot of new things and we can understand how does different people believe in different things. Not just that, you can also learn about their thinking, what they do or what they eat. For example, Muslims follow the five pillars and they don’t eat pork. When we have friends that believe in different religion, we can understand them and know how will your life be if you are believing in this religion. Moreover, topic like Martin Luther will help me to understand what did he do to Christianity and what causes the changes.
3) How did you develop or grow as a student through this unit?
Ans: I think I developed ridiculously this unit. At the beginning of this unit, I felt like I was stupid because my friends answer a lot of question and I didn’t understand. However, I tried hard and did a lot of extra research and I learned lot. I also tried to remember all of the important information both in the book and from my notes. Additionally, I put a lot of effort on my all of the assignment. When I saw my quiz score on Edmodo, I was so proud of myself.
4) As you look at the work you have completed throughout this unit, what are you strengths?
Ans: I think my strength are everything from the beginning of the chapter till the quiz. This is because I tried to include as much of information as possible. This information that I included on my assignment also help me on the quiz and I think my strength are actually on the quiz.
5) As you look at the work you have completed throughout this unit, what do you think you could improve?
Ans: I don’t think I can improve any further. Apart from adding more information in the quiz, which I think it will be too much and I will run out of time. So what I can do is to maintain my effort to the highest level as possible for the quizzes in the future.
