Personal Unit Overview: What did you achieve this unit?
What I have achieved is that I learned the history of the Industrial revolution in the 1700s. I participated the class debate about the pros and cons of the Industrial revolution as a review for the test. I think I met all of the standards for his unit and did well explaining the connections.
Enduring Understandings: How did the European Industrial Revolution affect society?
The Industrial revolution affect society in a good way and in a bad way. The first positive thing is that people got new job, since people could used railways to travel from rural. The second positive thing is that transportation improved, so goods and materials could be share with other cities around the country. Not just that, people could travel around the river because of steam engines, which was an invention. However, the bad thing is that it harms people's health because there was pollutions, such as air pollution from the factory and water pollution from chemical waste.
Unit Standards:
Content:

Analyze and describe the significance of the European Industrial Revolution
Process:
-
Interpret central ideas and provide an accurate summary of sources while demonstrating relationship among ideas
-
Uses multiple sources to synthesize and integrate information
Area of strength: Which standard was your strength and why? Interpret central ideas and provide an accurate summary of sources while demonstrating relationship among ideas. I always gave accurate summary and connect important ideas together. Also, analyze and describe the significance of the European Industrial Revolution. I did this part well because I could connect the idea of inventions and transportation into one big idea. Uses multiple sources to synthesize and integrate information: I use the textbook and information from the internet for the test.
Area of growth: Which standard needs improvement and how can you improve for the future ? I don’t think I can improve on anything except learning how to use vocabulary correctly. The way to improve this is to look at different ways to use those certain vocabulary.
