Hi
Welcome to Joey's website!
Interwar Period Reflection
Unit Overview:
This unit carries on from the previous unit on the causes and effects of WWI to examine important events and world climate leading up to WWII. Students will participate in independent reading, note-taking, watching documentary, performing a simulation, drawing for understanding, developing a mind map, and writing an open-book test.
Personal Unit Overview: What did you achieve this unit?
I think I did well on the test, giving important information and examples as well. I have never learned about the interwar period, but the world war one and the world war two. In this chapter, I got to learn 2 of really important people in the history, Adolf Hitler and Mussolini. They aim was to make Germany and Italy and powerful country again, since they became weak during the world war one.
Enduring Understandings: What caused the rise of dictators like Hitler and Mussolini?
Nationalism would be the causes of the rises of 2 of these dictators, in my opinion. Both Germany and Italy suffered from the first world war and they wanted a better country. They are also really clever in getting more followers as well as using different strategies to engage people. For example, Hitler and Mussolini made their own secret army and trained them.
