Hi
Welcome to Joey's website!
2o Times Blog
I. Overview
How do you feel when you are in a group of friends and they start speaking in a language that you do not understand? Obviously, everyone wants to be equal and be able to understand the same thing. Non-Thai who take Thai class Berkeley are reluctant to speak and might be embarrassed to talk with Thai people. So, we want to teach Thai to Non-Thai student or foreigners at Berkeley. We believe that this will help strengthen the Berkeley community and enable our foreign students to enjoy their Thai experience so much more. Therefore, we design to make a class or make several tips for them to use in their Thai conversation. However, we might have difficulties in arranging time because we are very busy recently. Also, parents might be skeptical to leave their kids with us instead of a teacher.
II. Audience / Clients / Users
Foreigners will benefit from this because they will know basic Thai words and be able to use them in everyday life. We will start to assess what students need through conversations with parents, Thai teachers, and the students themselves. We are opening our class up to G3-G7 Berkeley students.
III. Problem?
We might have some problems with children not having availability on the same days we do. A parent might be skeptical to leave their children with teenagers instead of a Thai teacher. Children might not listen to us.
IV. Product
We plan on making a video detailing before and after Thai language skills. We will also create a slide presentation and speech for EdTalk.
V. Motivative
We are excited about this project because we want to let non-Thai speakers speak Basic Thai. We also believe it will help strengthen the Berkeley community and enable our foreign students to enjoy their Thai experience so much more.
